Diaz•Yourman & Associates

Diaz•Yourman & Associates (DYA) is a privately-held geotechnical consulting services corporation, founded in December 1992. Since then, DYA has grown in size, capacity, and breadth of services. DYA now has 23 employees, including 16 engineers with post-graduate level degrees in geotechnical engineering. The engineers are supported by a staff of technicians, word processors, and drafters (AutoCAD and Intergraph), as well as an extensive technical library.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

Our goal at DYA is to provide geotechnical services to owners, public agencies, and other organizations involved in the design, construction, environmental, and legal fields. DYA provides geotechnical design and construction services for a wide array of project types, including ports and harbors, infrastructure, transportation, industrial, commercial, institutional, and environmental. More than 70 years of geotechnical engineering experience and a history of translating the latest technologies to innovative, sound, and practical solutions have resulted in notably successful projects and satisfied clients. Our working environment fosters technical excellence and dedication to clients. A significant part of our budget is dedicated to our staff's continuing education and professional development. DYA is certified as a minority business enterprise and disadvantaged business enterprise (MBE/DBE) through the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) under the California Unified Certification Program (CUCP), and we are certified as a Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) by the Small Business Administration (SBA). DYA is also registered as a small or community business with several agencies, such as the Metropolitan Water District, City of Los Angeles, and Port of Long Beach.
